Ping HD Partners With Red Rocks To Enhance Guest Experience With Digital Menus
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Red Rocks now has the capability to be more strategic, purposeful and relevant with their onsite digital messaging.
Located 10 miles west of Denver, Red Rocks is a well known outdoor music venue, famous for its large natural rock formations, unbelievable acoustics and beautiful views. The Beatles, U2 and The Grateful Dead are just some of the major acts to have graced the stage.

Red Rocks seats about 10,000 and hosts many sold out nightly events ranging from world class concerts to movies under the stars.
Like most venues of its size, the demand for relevant and updated menu content is often driven by the type of event and those attending it. Red Rocks needed the flexibility to quickly update food menus and pricing to accommodate each of these events. Historically, they had designed static printed boards that were swapped out manually at each cart. However, with the sheer size of the venue this had proven to be a time intensive task.

To create a more efficient menu management process, 31 Samsung SSP displays, 21 outdoor and 10 indoor were installed on multiple food carts across the venue. Each display was setup to run the award winning EngagePHD™ digital signage software allowing staff to quickly manage, monitor and update content from the cloud on any display within their network. It also ensures that all creative content on each display is cached eliminating the possibility of downtime in the event of any network connectivity issues.

Because the food carts are located outdoors, the elements were a concern. To overcome these challenges, Ping HD used Samsung OHF Series all weather, high bright displays paired with custom designed Peerless-AV mounts to ensure the displays are well protected and ready to run in all weather situations.

Ping HD began the digital signage installation in early April 2018 and completed the project just in time to kickoff the 2018 concert season.

"After the installation, the venue felt completely different. The enhancement of digital signage has elevated Red Rocks Amphitheater to a whole new level. They now have the ability to use their digital signage network to be more strategic, purposeful and relevant in real time with their messaging to their guests", said Marcus Byrd of Ping HD.
