JØUR Explores The Pitfalls Of Love With Transcendental Song "Black Hole"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alt-pop songstress, JØUR, released her striking new single, "Black Hole." The track is the second single off of her upcoming record, Chiaroscuro. This song displays JØUR's alt-pop presence with a mix of moody synths and melodic vocals. Stream or download "Black Hole" on all major music platforms.

"Black Hole," produced by Matt Patrick, examines the struggle of surpassing a difficult relationship. "This song is about that person who won't let you move on, who keeps their hooks in you, and keeps reeling you back in, offering you something you want and then crushing that hope over and over," JØUR explains. "I wrote this song to help me break free from someone like this, recognizing that I was enabling a vicious cycle and I wasn't going to let that person have power over me anymore." JØUR explores her situation with a difficult partner through stark imagery and penetrating metaphors. The heavy synths create an additional layer of intensity in the song.

Born in Minneapolis, MN, JØUR has been immersed in music since a young age when her mother signed her up for piano and voice lessons. Part of her inspiration as an adult artist came from Feist, specifically her record Metals. JØUR learned to be delicate, intentional and use her voice like a paintbrush to make art. She believes in empowering oneself through various art mediums; she's an active dancer, painter, photographer and graphic designer. JØUR is also the co-founder of the Good Arts Collective, a local collaborative arts organization that seeks to empower artists to transition from hobbyists to professionals.

JØUR's music has captured the attention of The Line of Best Fit, I Heart Moosiq, EQ Music Blog, We Found New Music, and more. The Line of Best Fit credits her with "the recipe for an addictive track" and Analogue Trash describes her music as "down to earth, personal and relatable."
With her latest single, JØUR fuses thoughtful lyrics and heavy synths to create a dynamic presence. Stay tuned for more music from JØUR throughout 2018. "Black Hole" is available to download or stream on music platforms everywhere. Find out more about JØUR by visiting JourMusic.xyz.
