Frisco Breaks Away From The Strings To Release Debut Solo Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Veteran rocker Frisco breaks away from The Strings and explores his hard rock roots in his debut solo album aptly titled "Frisco." "I have a lot of songs that I've been wanting to record for a long time and now is the perfect opportunity to share that with fans," said Frisco, whose real name is Yahor Tretsyakou-Savich. "It's the kind of music that is more personal and heavier than the music from The Strings, so it's a departure from the band, but still the kind music that will get people excited."

The album is a blend of hard rock, heavy metal and alternative rock that features Frisco's musical roots based upon the sound of such bands as Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Evanescence and others that influenced him from early on. The album features the song "Strings," a melodic ballad that explores the optimism of youth and the possibilities of the future.
"It's all about the strings of destiny and how they pull you forward," Frisco said. "It's very melodic song, but with a hard guitar sound and an alternative rock feel that grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go!"

The album also features 10 other tracks that go from alternative rock and heavy metal to rhythm and blues with an accent on hard rock. Among these is "Scars," which deals with the emotional and physical scars Frisco himself experienced in his relationships and in developing his musical career.

Having grown up in a small family in Minsk, Belarus, Frisco learned early on about his love for music and musical instruments. It wasn't long before he took up the guitar and began mimicking the music his parents would listen - hard rock and alternative rock groups like Evanescence, Limp Bizkit, Nirvana and many others.
"On my 10th birthday my mom gave me a gift, which changed my life - an acoustic guitar. At early age I started to write lyrics and melodies," he recalled. "Then, when I was 15. I decided to start my band and buy my first bass guitar after saving all my money from summer work I was doing."

Eventually, he would start his own band, called FreeSpirit where he would nurture his own sound that echoed the popular bands of the mid 2000s. He would go on to play bass for several other bands before joining The Strings which became one of Belarus' top bands with such hit singles as "No Limits," "Phobia," and others. The band would tour Europe, playing a number of major festivals and venues, earning scores of fans and selling out concerts around the world.

Meanwhile, Frisco is preparing to tour with the Strings while he continues to expand his musical direction with his new album and new compositions for the upcoming film "10 Steps to Fame," from writer/director Leonid Andronov.
