New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Tuomo & Markus is the new musical project from acclaimed Finnish soul/jazz artist Tuomo Prättälä and singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng of The Latebirds.

Cowboys & Indians called the track "a truly artistic work of beautiful arrangements and rich instrumentation about self-discovery and the meaning of life." The song, which is out this Friday, August 10, comes off the band's debut record Dead Circles, due September 7 on Schoolkids Records.
Tuomo & Markus recently released the music video for the lead single "Don't Shut Down Your Radio" alongside an interview with Billboard.

Dead Circles was recorded in Tucson, AZ after a few spontaneous sessions at Wavelab Studios which featured John Stirratt and Pat Sansone of Wilco; John Convertino, Joey Burns and Jakob Valenzuela of Calexico; and Gary Louris of The Jayhawks.

Since the fruitful sessions in Arizona, Tuomo & Markus have transformed into a stellar 6-piece live band, featuring Finnish jazz trumpet sensation Verneri Pohjola. Jazz and psychedelic influences have become more and more evident at their ambitious live shows, drawing the attention of critics like David Fricke who hailed the band in Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as KEXP's Kevin Cole who had the band in for a session last year.
