New York, NY (Top40 Charts) We are proud to announce we will be releasing the debut 7" EP from California's DAD BRAINS! These catchy (and equally hilarious) tracks will be available on 7" colored vinyl on September 14th. The music video for "I'm Old," found below, was originally premiered on Father's Day Weekend via LA Weekly.

This Oxnard/Ventura, CA-based band of punk rock dads, is comprised of former members of No Motiv (Vagrant Records), The Missing 23rd (Sessions Records), Creep Division (members of Sick Of It All, Good Riddance and No Motiv) and The F-ing Wrath.

"We're super stoked that Pirates Press Records is gonna release this record. It kinda feels like when your your baby smiles for the first time...wait, let's not get that crazy! Haha. No, but seriously, Pirates Press Records is a well respected label, and that makes us feel like we're in great hands. I mean, who wouldn't want to press a 7" with an actual label who is also a pressing plant? So many colors of vinyl to choose from! It's a punk rock dream come true," says frontman Patrick Pedraza.

Dad Brains started out of emotions skyrocketed with love, fear, anxiety, and all that stuff new daddies think of when they realize that it's not about "you" anymore. Sleepless nights, dark clouds of hormones, baby poop everywhere, breast milk taking over the freezer and even mother-in-laws sleeping on the living room couch; what else can a musician do to vent but start a band.

Longtime friend and multi-talented producer Roger Camero (No Motiv, Silver Snakes, The Velvet Teen, The Warriors) recorded their first self-titled EP, the 5 punk rock gems [totaling less then 10 minutes!] that you have here… I mean, seriously? What more could you ask for… Amazingly catchy and comical songs about the struggles and love of parenting.
We're all in this together! Dad Brains lead with love... Love for family and friends, love for the struggle and love for the mosh....This is...Dad Brains.
