New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With their forthcoming London headline show at Boston Music Room on 7th November selling out in just 24 hours, Berlin-based post-punk art rock band, Art Brut, are pleased to announce a further UK headline show on 17th January 2019 at The Garage in London.

Alongside the news, the band are today sharing the video for their new single 'Wham! Bam! Pow! Let's Rock Out!', which is out now on Alcopop! Records via all good digital retailers.

Commenting on the video, front man Eddie Argos said: "I've often wondered what Art Brut's spirit animal would be. After watching this video, now I know. It is all of them. All of the animals. Art Brut's spirit animal is every animal on the planet all freaking out at once. We are untameable wildlife. Hooray!"

The new single has so far picked up spins from BBC 6Music and Radio X, with support flooding in for the band's long-awaited return from the likes of Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, The 405, Clash and many more international publications. The track also hit the 'Alt Rocked' and 'Transistor' playlists on Spotify.

Directed by Ben Pollard and Jonny Drewek, the video is comprised of wildlife footage and is a tribute to the band's inherently spirited approach to music, as the pair explain:

"It's equal parts exciting and daunting imagining into life video concepts for a band like Art Brut. The universe they've created for their music over the last decade is so varied and eclectic; it didn't feel right to just shoehorn new characters, ideas and imagery into their world for the video.

"We zeroed in on the "Wham! Bang! Pow!" lyrics and the energy behind the delivery on them. There's this primal compulsion running throughout, like the subject of the song is hardwired to party no matter what. In the animal kingdom every creature has its own agenda that it just gets on with without really considering things. A few hours of scouring royalty-free footage sites and a sulky rhino later - et voila!"
Further details of new music and live dates TBA.

With the departure of Jasper Future and Mikey Breyer, Art Brut are now comprised of founding members Argos, Ian Catskilkin and Freddy Feedback while Toby Macfarlaine joins on guitar and Charlie Layton joins on drums.

"I've known Charlie forever," Argos explains. "He's also the drummer for The Wedding Present but we always wanted to be in a band together since we were kids. Now it's been about 25 years of knowing each other, he's finally in our group. Toby plays bass for Graham Coxon normally but he's just in the band cos I love him. Ian found him and I looked at his Twitter feed to see what he was about, and he'd posted 'A Day in the Life of Vivian Stanshall" from the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band. I was like "yeah perfect! he's in!"
