The Loop Lab Announces Membership In Audiovisual And Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA, Formerly Known As Infocomm)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Loop Lab, a creative placemaking project dedicated to creating job opportunities in the audiovisual (AV) field for underrepresented young adults, today announced its membership in the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA, formerly known as InfoComm). This alignment represents the next step in The Loop Lab's mission to empower young adults in the Port neighborhood of Cambridge, MA, and beyond.

Established in 1939, AVIXA has grown to encompass more than 5,400 members across the AV and integrated experience fields worldwide. It serves as a hub for professional collaboration, and is the leading organization for AV standards, certification and training. These resources will further empower The Loop Lab to provide pre-professional AV training to at-risk young adults.

"Our partnership with AVIXA will prove invaluable to our students," said Christopher Hope, CEO, The Loop Lab. "The City of Cambridge is at a critical moment in its evolution, and many of its youth are without the resources to fully explore the opportunities all around them. AVIXA's community, thought leadership and industry intelligence will help these young people to find and exercise their true potential."

"We are thrilled to work alongside The Loop Lap as partners in workforce development," said Joseph Valerio, Director of Workforce Development at AVIXA. "This type of relationship is vital to bringing more awareness of AV as a career, and as a means of empowering a new generation to see themselves as AV professionals. Having key advocates like Christopher Hope and his team in communities around the globe is an important step in the right direction."

The Loop Lab's first AV training program for young adults, LOOP DREAMS, begins this Fall. More information about The Loop Lab is available at https://www.thelooplab.org. Follow social media updates on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
