Highland Jazz And Blues Festival Announces Details Of Fifteenth Annual Event
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The 15th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival presented by Bistro Byronz and Rotolo's Craft and Crust in Shreveport's historic Columbia Park will have music for everyone on two festival stages. In addition to more than 70 food and art vendors, eight bands will perform from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. Music headliners for the 15th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival include Flow Tribe, Seratones, Buddy Flett, Easy Money, Josh Love Trio, Dur-Di Rice Brass Band, Tipsey, and Twang Darkly. This free music festival is a gift to the community from the Highland Area Partnership.

Besides the music, food, and vendors, there will be a Kid's Zone sponsored by State Farm - Chris Noren, Agent with multiple activities planned throughout the afternoon. Be sure to bring your favorite furry friend to the Dog Area sponsored by Coldwell Banker Gosslee - Shawn Fargerson, Realtor where you'll find water stations, treats, nail trims, and more. There will be a free shuttle provided by iShuttle, sponsored by Salon Adore, running continuously from Mall St. Vincent and even a free bike valet by Bike Shreveport for those who ride their bike to the festival.

It will be a full weekend of jazz and blues events all benefiting the festival. Saturday, Sept. 15, after the festival ends, attendees can head to the Official After Party at Rotolo's Craft and Crust for music on the patio. Sunday, Sept. 16, finish the weekend off at Bistro Byronz for a jazz brunch with music by Magnolia Mae from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Launched in 2003, the festival has grown from a handful of bands and a crowd of 500-1,000 to a gathering including two stages, ten bands, posters, t-shirts, food and art sales, and 10,000 music fans celebrating in Highland's beautiful Columbia Park. The annual festival is a gift to the community from the Highland Area Partnership doing business as the Highland Jazz & Blues Festival. Proceeds from poster, t-shirt, and beverage sales, donations, and sponsorships are used to bring the festival back each year.
