The Reklaws Go Gold With "Long Live The Night"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) CCMA award winning duo The Reklaws have gone gold with their infectious hit "Long Live The Night", the first single and title track from their 3-song EP Long Live The Night, which was released earlier this year via Universal Music Canada.

"Long Live The Night" is a chart-climbing success, finding a home in radio's top 5, named the most streamed song in all of Canadian country music released this year, and was named as the official theme song for CFL's Thursday Night Football on TSN. The duo performed the gold single this weekend at 2018 CCMA Awards in front of 10,500 fans at FirstOntario Centre and for 15.8 million at home during the programs two hour live broadcast on CBC. Along with performing in the special amongst country idols like Shania Twain, Terri Clark and Keith Urban, the duo took home the award for SiriusXM Rising Star Award.

The duo recently released their debut 7-track EP, Feels Like That - arriving as the much-anticipated follow-up to the duo's first three-song EP, Long Live the Night. Produced by Todd Clark, Feels Like That includes the title track and crowd-favourite love song "Feels Like That" written by Stuart and Jenna Walker, Donovan Woods, Todd Clark and Travis Wood. Feels Like That also includes "Raised By The Radio", an ode to radio soundtracking their childhood, as well as "Missing You", which highlights the duo's pop flavour. The EP is complemented by previously released hits "Hometown Kids", "Long Live The Night", "Last Call", and "Wish You Were Beer" featuring the James Barker Band.

About the release, Jenna and Stuart Walker said: "This EP is all about those moments in life that we live for, the ones that always make the strongest impression on our lives. We want this album to motivate our fans and music lovers alike to keep making those crazy memories that keep life interesting."

This past Spring, The Reklaws were announced as the featured part of Thursday Night Football throughout the season. The pair cut a new football themed version of their gold hit, "Long Live the Night" which opens each Thursday Night Football game on CFL on TSN. The song is an integral part of the CFL broadcast and became the CFL's song of the summer. While their original half-time kickoff performance in Winnipeg was unfortunately cancelled due to rain, The Reklaws were soon surprised by CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie and TSN host Kate Beirness live on TV with an invitation to perform on the Sirius XM Kickoff show at the 106th Grey Cup at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium on November 25, 2018 broadcasting at 6:00 p.m. ET live on TSN and RDS.

Raised in rural Ontario, The Reklaws are comprised of the brother-sister duo Jenna and Stuart Walker. They began to turn heads in 2012 when they were awarded the CCMA Discovery Artist title followed by the 2013 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase title, which included a release with Big Machine Label Group. Since then, they have shared the stage with some of country's best including Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Thomas Rhett and more. The pair have spent long hours in Nashville crafting their songs and their efforts have paid off. Their sound is an infectious, authentic mix of pop and country and their anthemic songs become the "soundtrack-to-your-summer". The Reklaws took the summer of 2017 by storm with their major label debut with Universal Music Canada. Their single "Hometown Kids" quickly charted at #15 on Canadian Country radio and #11 on the Spotify Canada Viral 50 during release week in June 2017. The hit track has garnered nearly 2 million Spotify streams and major playlist adds including Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's "PM Mix". The Reklaws have kept the momentum going in 2018 with their second single "Long Live the Night" being the most streamed Canadian Country song released this year, charting as high as #5 on Canadian Country Radio, being certified gold and having the CFL choosing it as the theme song for Thursday Night Football on TSN. Their latest release, 7-track EP Feels Like That instantly charted on digital parters across Canada and is continuing to climb both on streaming and radio platforms. The duo recently won the SiriusXM Rising Star award at the 2018 CCMA awards where they also performed live in broadcast for 10,500 fans in Hamilton and on tv to 15.8 million viewers on CBC. Stay tuned for much more to come as The Reklaws solidify themselves as the next superstars in country music in Canada.
