New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Wondering Why" is the new country music radio single from Rusty Gear, an American singer-songwriter and recording artist, whose earnest, deep-roots style is a mix of country, blues, and southern rock.

The music video for "Wondering Why," directed by Walter Boyd, with production-editing by Amanda Ozment of Factory Underground Studio, takes a familiar love story theme and gives it a modern twist of virtual reality. The video is set to be exclusively feature premiered by VEVO today!

The single, written by Rusty Gear and Lydia Miller has gone to Music Row reporting stations and other country music radio with promotions by Mark Maynard at Momentum Music Marketing. The song which is set to be released to retail/streaming outlets including Apple Music iTunes, Spotify etc., follows the release of Rusty Gear's debut EP Happy Ending which released to Apple Music and Spotify in June 2018.

The Connecticut-native Rusty Gear recorded "Wondering Why" at Zac Brown's legendary Southern Ground Recording Studio in Nashville, TN. The song was produced by Tony Sarno, with Executive Producer Mark Maynard and features Rusty on acoustic guitar as well as elite Nashville session musicians including Sarno on Guitars, Clayton Ivey on Piano and Hammond Organ, Bob Wray on Bass, Craig Krampf on percussion and Pat Severs on pedal-steel guitar.
