Jade Eagleson Releases Self-Titled Debut EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This week, Jade Eagleson released his debut self-titled EP, Jade Eagleson, via Universal Music. Produced by Todd Clark (Philip Phillips, James Barker Band, Reklaws, etc), the four-track EP includes two versions of the crowd-favourite and top 15 radio hit "Got Your Name On It", breakup song "Count The Ways" and the timeless love song "Still Gonna Be You". Eagleson hits the road this week on his first national tour with Canadian Country star Gord Bamford - see below for tour dates and tickets.
"It's hard to believe we're finally able to release my debut EP," said Jade. "My co-writers, Todd Clark, Gavin Slate and Travis Wood, and I have been chompin at the bit to release these tracks. I sure am proud of these songs and hope everyone loves them as much as I do. Hopefully this EP gives fans a good glimpse of who I am as an artist. Plus, there's no better way to celebrate than going out on tour with Gord Bamford to finally get to play these songs live and see what everyone thinks of them."

Jade's debut single with Universal Music Canada, "Got Your Name On It", recently entered the top 15 at Canadian Country Radio and continues to climb.

The "Got Your Name On It" music video recently hit an impressive 3.5 million views on YouTube and became the first Canadian-signed artist of any genre to be selected as YouTube's Trending 'Artist On The Rise' playlist in the USA. The video was filmed on Jade's grandparent's farm outside of Toronto, and features cameos of his mother and father (his Mom as the overprotective mother to young Jade, his Dad as the bandana wearing tattoo artist). On the video, director Ben Knechtel said: "Jade is as authentic as they come - a true farm boy in the best sense. We set out to make a video that truly compliments the song and introduces Jade to the world in a memorable way, and I feel like we've done just that".

Raised on his grandparents farm in Southern Ontario, Jade worked alongside his father tending crops and raising livestock. And while life may have led him off the farm for a stint here and there, it always brought him back just the same. Despite making music most of his life, Jade only considered country music as a career when confronted with the challenge of keeping his family farm. Though that career started playing near empty bars, he caught his break in 2017 when he earned his way into the Emerging Artist Showcase at Boots and Hearts, where he played in front of more than 20,000 country fans. Jade is only 24-years-old, but his voice has a classic country sound that takes you back to the days of Johnny Cash, George Jones and Randy Travis. Jade's timeless voice separated him from the pack and he walked away with top honours. Jade was immediately signed to Universal Music Canada and has been working on his debut album with Shannon McNevan (James Barker Band, Reklaws, Chad Brownlee) ever since. Jade is currently on tour with Gord Bamford with 35+ stops across Canada. Stay tuned for more music to come.
