Buddy Holly With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra 'True Love Ways' Out On Decca Records Next Month
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Buddy Holly was a pioneer of Rock 'n' Roll and a major influence on The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Elton John. Now, a new album to mark the 60th anniversary of his final recordings, orchestrated with Buddy's voice to realise 'what Buddy woulda wanted done', according to his older brother Larry.

Buddy tragically died aged just 22 in a plane crash (Feb 3rd 1959), leaving behind his wife who he had been married to for less than one year. The day became known as "The Day the Music Died" - famously referred to in Don McLean's song 'American Pie'.

The 22nd October is the 60th anniversary of his last recordings, which happened in a Decca studio and included the track 'True Love Ways', which he dedicated to his wife.

Buddy used to play the violin and shortly before his death buddy was experimenting with string orchestrations in his music.

Now, finally, with his widow as Executive Producer, an album of Buddy Holly's music with full orchestrations from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be released on Decca, the original label to which he signed to in 1956.
>> The album has full endorsement from the Buddy Holly Foundation and his widow, Maria Elena. FIRST TWO TRACKS 'EVERYDAY' AND 'TRUE LOVE WAYS' OUT NOW - LISTEN HERE.
