Darren Parry - Christmas Single
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Darren's Gift Of A Christmas Cracker Of A Song!
"Christmas isn't just a day, it's a frame of mind" is a line by Valentine Davies, in the film "Miracle on 34th Street". This new Christmas offering entitled "Don't Need Nothing Else This Christmas" from Welsh multi-award winning singer/songwriter, Darren Parry will certainly put you in the
Christmas spirit... just as much as this classic film!

Darren has performed/shared the bill with house-hold names (e.g. Michael Ball, Bryn Terfel, Donny Osmond), toured the world performing and has
accolades that include; 2004 UK Songwriting Contest winner (Pop) for "Reality" (judges included the Brit Panel of Brit Award fame), 2014 and
2016 USA Song Of The Year contest runner up for "So Into You" and "Promises" (judges included Phil Collins, Gwen Steffani, Don Henley, Lenny
Kravitz and Alicia Keys). Darren also has awards from Billboard and Unisong, to name but a few!

The new Christmas single is a festive joy of a Pop track that includes the given sleigh bells, bells and talk of snow and Santa! However, this take
on a Christmas song is done with intelligence and class and the melodic, sophisticated touch of an award winning songwriter. The theme of
potentially being without the one you love at Christmas is brought to life with lush strings, some lovely Country-esque guitar, French horns and the
dynamic 3 and a half octave vocal range of Darren's gravel tinged, soulful voice. At one point, in the middle 8, Darren hits a top B flat note with
ease (Pavarotti hits a top B in "Nessun Dorma"!). If Paul Carrack, Michael Bolton and Hall & Oates got together to make a Christmas song, it may
sound something like this! The song was recorded at Shabbey Road Road Studios, South Wales, being produced by Darren and Al Steele.

Darren can be heard on many radio formats around the world having written in the Pop, Rock, RnB, Soul, Country and even EDM genres before. His
music has been heard on BBC radio, Nation Radio, The Fox Network, Lufthansa Airlines and on hundreds of stations from the USA, UK,
Australia, Europe and beyond . He's co-written with Dan and Laura Curtis (Lea Salonga, Ramin Karimloo, Paul Potts), Larry Williams (Charlotte
Church) and has had his songs remixed by Adventurer (Pixi Lott, Young Guns, Pendulum).

Look out for the fun little video that will accompany the Christmas track featuring a whole host of familiar Welsh faces including; Peter Karrie
(The Phantom of The Opera), Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar), Chris Needs MBE (BBC Radio Wales) and so many others!

As Will Ferrell says in the film "Elf", "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear". Darren's song deserves to be sang
loud and for all to hear this festive season. A future potential Christmas classic.

"Don't Need Nothing Else This Christmas" will be available for download/streaming everywhere from Nov 25th 2018.
