New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Los Angeles-based pop vocalist and songwriter Shaylen unveils the video for her latest single " Isn't You"!
The video, which premiered on Billboard , was shot in Independence, California. Of the inspiration behind the video, Shaylen says, "I wanted to shoot out in the sparseness of the desert and then in a 'pay by the hour' motel. I feel like the energy and loneliness of both locations add to feeling the song conveys. In the end, even though heartbreak sucks and is lonely and isolating and a little desperate, like the desert or a shitty motel, what comes next is strength. I'm ok."

"Isn't You" follows her debut single, " El Dorado," released earlier this fall, which Idolator hailed as "a hugely confident pop anthem about knowing your worth."

Hailing from Dallas, TX, vocalist and songwriter Shaylen is both equal parts veteran and neophyte to the music industry. A former pop group member turned solo star, Shaylen became classically trained in piano and took master classes at the world renowned Septien Entertainment Group (home to other superstars like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato); and after a short-lived stunt in a successful global touring group Shaylen found herself moving to Los Angeles to re-start her music career. While working multiple jobs and pushing out her music on social media, she began to create a sizable buzz in the industry. But it was through her songwriting and producing skills that she found her true identity, inking a publishing contract and collaborating with up and coming EDM producers on Soundcloud. Fast forward to a major deal with Republic Records, Shaylen's debut single, "El Dorado," is the story of a rising powerhouse who is backā€¦for the very first time.
