New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Allie Crow Buckley, the Malibu-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, has spent the last couple years quietly introducing the world to her starry-eyed sound, building up a loyal fanbase for her gorgeous live shows and racking up over 500,000 Spotify streams in the process. Buckley is kicking off 2019 in a big way, announcing her long-awaited debut release, a six-song EP called So Romantic, due out February 5. So Romantic features Jason Boesel (Jenny Lewis band, Rilo Kiley, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band) on drums, Dylan Day (Jenny Lewis band) on guitar, and Grammy-nominated producer Mike Viola on guitar and Moog. Today Flood premiered Buckley's dreamy new single "Cherry Stems," alongside a stunning video.

"For me, getting caught up in the romances and fantasies are inevitable in the beginnings of a relationship - illusions are so easy to cast and get lost in," says Buckley. "The video depicts a girl (yours truly), dancing alone in a house whimsically surrounded by bunnies and satins, but completely alone in the fantasy - and frankly, a little deranged."

Buckley will celebrate So Romantic with a release show at LA's Bootleg Theater on February 7.

Allie Crow Buckley's music is of the high-lonesome, Pacific variety - a product of a life lived within a stone's throw of that ocean's roar. Her twenty-five years have been spent in Mendocino, New Zealand, Venice Beach, and Malibu, the strange beach town on the edge of Los Angeles. These days, Buckley has settled on the East side of LA. Building her presence as a live act, in March of 2018 she and her band put on one of the most packed residencies in recent memory at the Bootleg Theater. A tour with Van William followed. Along the way, she found two creative soul brothers in Mike Viola and Jason Boesel. At Viola's Bare Bones studio in Echo Park, the three have cultivated a sparse, haunting sound that aligns well with Buckley's dreamlike songs. The Bare Bones sessions resulted in the six song So Romantic EP, which arrives this February.
