New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Just days before his 21st birthday, Khalid delivers a charming new single, "Talk" in collaboration with UK electronic bandmates and brothers, Disclosure.

"Can't we just talk?" is the single-minded and unwavering question ungirdling the circumstance of a too-swift-of-pace relationship that the singer-songwriter finds himself in.

Khalid continually croons and pleads in search of clarity: "Can't we just talk? / Can't we just talk? / Talk about where we're goin' / Before we get lost."

But despite the leveled seriousness behind Khalid wanting answers, the song's pouncing beat and floaty synths form an otherwise joyous, uplifting, and good-natured vibe that hops along at a heartbeat's pace offsetting the relative urgency of his lyrics.

"Talk," was also announced to be the lead single off Khalid's highly anticipated sophomore album, which is set to release in April this year.

"This album is the culmination of all of the growth and experiences I have gathered over the past two remarkable years," he explained in a press release. "I have been in the studio pouring my soul and spirit to create a body of work that I hope speaks to each and every one of you and I am excited to share, 'Talk' the first taste of that today."
