Missing Piece Group At SXSW 2019 &more (Chill Moody & Donn T)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Philadelphia-based hip-hop/R&B duo &More, comprised of singer Donn T and rapper Chill Moody, will release their debut album Ethel Bobcat on April 5. The album is a musical mix of hip-hop & inspired soul that alternates between themes of power, love and social justice. The duo ride atop the edgey tracks by producer Ben "IAmBNJMIIN" Thomas (Shawn Smith , Jazmine Sullivan, Ty $) and guitarist/producer Jake Morelli (Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Esperanza Spalding, The Roots).

NPR's World Cafe premiered the video for their single "WHOA" ft. Public Enemy's Chuck D and said, "There comes a point in the bleak landscape of current events where those paying attention are left exhausted and speechless. Philadelphia R&B/hip-hop combo &More has a word for that moment when there are no words left: 'WHOA.'"

Last month the band unveiled their stunning new single 'Apple Tree', showcasing vocalist Catrin Vincent's astonishing range and the band's strength for cool atmospherics and poignant lyrics. The track is accompanied by a beautiful stop-motion video directed by Dann Parry.

Award-winning bluesman Cedric Burnside earned a Grammy nod for his latest release Benton County Relic. Hailing from Holly Springs, Mississippi, Burnside is the grandson of legendary blues musician R.L. Burnside. Cedric is continuing the legacy of his forebears while creating a sound that is vibrant and modern. Afropunk premiered the first single "We Made It" and claimed, "It's a song about strenth, resilience, and hope that shows there's a lot of life left in the classic country blues sound." Paste, Garden & Gun and other outlets included Benton County Relic in their Top Albums of 2018 lists.

On April 19, the Los Angeles-based Field Medic, the moniker of Kevin Patrick, will release his debut album fade into the dawn via Run For Cover Records. UPROXX recently shared the video for the album's first single Henna Tattoo and said, "The raw honesty of the song is enhanced by its warm video. Patrick is as gifted a filmmaker as he is a musician, and Field Medic is one of the most exciting indie acts of 2019." Paste Magazine said, "...his anxious infatuation is presented as a passing, unadorned outpouring, conflicting thoughts and emotions rushed to paper, then tape, using only the implements Patrick had at hand."

Rolling Stone recently published a print feature chronicling their 2018 tour and named their single "Beverly" one of the 50 Best Songs of 2018, calling it "the catchiest chorus of a career that's produced more than a few and a song that could've been on the radio in the era it honors."

Nashville-based rock band The Prescriptions have signed a deal with Single Lock Records to release their debut album Hollywood Gold on April 5. They've also announced two shows opening for John Paul White on May 17 and 18.
Buzz has been building around the band in their local Nashville community from the likes of Mother Church Pew, No Country For New Nashville, and East of 8th who said "Their sound, influenced by the likes of Neil Young and Wilco, brims with a soothing ease that provides a balm for the ears and a salve for the soul." In an interview with lead singer and songwriter Hays Ragsdale, Billboard stated that the band's debut full-length, "demonstrates a considerable breadth in Ragsdale's writing, ranging from Laurel Canyon folk rock and Americana to echoes of vibey new wave and power pop."

Often referred to as "the godfather of alternative rock," Tyson Meade emerged as one of the leading progenitors of the grunge/punk movement in the mid 80's with his band Defenestration, a noted early influence on the songwriting of Kurt Cobain. He then went on to lead the trailblazing alt-rock group The Chainsaw Kittens, cited by Billy Corgan as one of his favorite contemporaries. He'll be releasing his new album Robbing The Nuclear Family on March 22nd via Shaking Shanghai. He recently released his new video for the track "P.S. Nuclear Forest Dance Boogie" with Brooklyn Vegan.

Country singer Waylon Payne has taken a winding road on his path to success. The release of his mid-2000s major label debut The Drifter should have been a triumphant moment for Payne, but instead it marked a drastic escalation of his decades-long freefall. Now he's returning on a high note with a 2019 Grammy Nomination for his songwriting with Lee Ann Womack and a new album slated for release in the fall. Produced by Frank Liddell and Eric Masse (Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert) The Prodigal marks Payne's first in 15 years, and it offers an unflinching account of his journey to the brink and back, chronicling addiction, heartbreak, and estrangement.
