Johnny Orlando's Debut EP "Teenage Fever" Out Now!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following nearly a year in the studio, singer-songwriter and JUNO Award nominee for Breakthrough Artist of the Year Johnny Orlando releases his highly anticipated debut EP Teenage Fever today via Universal Music. Emanating confidence and charisma over danceable electronic grooves and a subtle hip-hop bounce, Orlando levels up his take on pop. Once again co-writing with his sister Darian (a tradition dating back to the viral video that launched him to stardom in 2011), and a range of acclaimed collaborators including Mike Wise (bülow, Dvbbs, RALPH), Linnea Södahl (Zara Larsson, Anne-Marie), Nick Ruth (Ryan Tedder), Jordon Manswell (Daniel Caesar) and Matthew Burnett (Jessie Reyez, Daniel Caesar), Orlando gets personal this time around. With his debut EP, Orlando's lyrical honesty is elevated by impressive vocals and unshakable hooks.

"Every song is a reflection of how I'm actually feeling," says Johnny. "Teenage Fever kind of looks inside my head and shares a sound that's more authentic than it has ever been. The songs are about experiences I've had - things I think all teenagers can relate to - especially while trying to navigate the high school years."

"This is the first time I've really taken creative control from start to finish," he adds. "I worked with so many cool people with different backgrounds and from different places. That gives the EP a lot of character - every song is unique. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to share this new music with my fans and can't wait to perform it for everyone live!"

The EP represents a leap forward for Johnny and features his explosive first single, "Last Summer", which quickly vaulted past 20 million global streams. The up-tempo, just-released single "Sleep" already sits at more than 5 million global streams. Elsewhere on the EP, "Deep Down" illuminates Orlando's expansive range over slick in-the-box orchestration and an unpredictable rhythm. Piece of My Heart, Waste My Time and Why round out the debut offering. See full tracklisting below.

Set to take the new music on the road this Spring with a headlining Teenage Fever tour, Orlando announces four new European performance dates with stops planned in France, Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom. See below for full tour dates. Tickets for the Teenage Fever Tour are on sale now at johnnyorlandomusic.com.

After amassing over 150 million total streams within three years, garnering acclaim from the likes of Paper, and taking up residence in the hearts of countless fans worldwide, Toronto-born and Los Angeles-based Juno Award-nominated singer and songwriter Johnny Orlando fully realized the scope of the dynamic signature style he first hinted at in 2015.

Emanating confidence and charisma over danceable electronic grooves and a subtle hip-hop bounce, he levels up his take on pop with the 2019 Teenage Fever EP [Universal Music/Island Records].

He quietly made strides towards establishing this identity by way of numerous international hits. 2018's "What If" (feat. Mackenzie Ziegler) clocked 109 million-plus global streams and over 21 million music video views in under twelve months, captured #1 on the musical.ly Global Song Chart, and landed on the Spotify Viral 50 in 33 countries. He received praise from Billboard, Variety, Teen Vogue, Just Jared Jr., Tiger Beat, and more in addition to performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Along the way, he garnered a nomination for "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" at the 2019 JUNO Awards as well as nods at the Kids' Choice Awards, iHeart Much Music Video Awards, and Teen Choice Awards.

Orlando (now 16) is at the forefront of the next generation of Canadian artists impacting a global music stage, touring the world with co-headlining and sold-out North American and European tours, a recording deal with Universal Music Canada/Island Records and a dedicated fan base of more than 16 million engaged fans.
