It's Official: Avril Lavigne Is Engaged!

SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Autralia/ www.avrillavigne.com) - Our favourite Canadian punk princess Avril Lavigne has a lot going on in her world. Not only does she have a new blog online AND a new song out, but it's just been announced that she is engaged to marry Sum 41's Deryck Whibley. Congratulations Avril!
Having just completed the European leg of her massive Bonez tour, Avril is about to head home to Canada for a string of shows. She'll have some good news to share when she gets there, with her engagement to Deryck Whibley now official. Both Avril and Deryck are very excited, and want to thank all of their fans for their best wishes.

Avril's also got a great new online blog - if you want to keep updated on what's happening in her world, make sure you check it out! Both Avril and her band will be posting from the road as they continue touring around the globe, and you can post messages to Avril there too.
