SYDNEY, AU. (SONY BMG Music Entertainment) - It's the news Australian fans have been waiting for - US singing sensation Kelly Clarkson is on her way to Australia for her first ever tour! It's been rumoured for a while, but now we can happily confirm that Kelly will be hitting out shores in November. This will be massive! Kelly Clarkson has dominated the Australian charts since the release of her album 'Breakaway', and has become one of the hottest female artists in the country. 'Breakaway' is still firmly lodged in the ARIA National Top Five 36 weeks after release, and is well on its way to triple-platinum sales.

Now, the pop chick who knows how to rock is gearing up for what's set to be one of the hottest tours of the year! Kelly will be hitting Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Wollongong, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane with her killer live show, and is set to blow the roof off every venue she plays with her amazing voice.

Kelly was last here in September 2003 for a promo trip on the back of her debut album 'Thankful', which yielded the awesome singles 'Miss Independent and 'Low'. Since then she has continued to mature as a writer and performer, with 'Breakaway' (of which she co-wrote six songs) consolidating her massive fan base and impressing the pants off critics.

The album's singles 'Since You've Been Gone' and 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' have absolutely dominated radio airwaves around the country, with the latest single 'Because Of You' the No 1 most added to Australian radio in late August.

Two weeks ago Kelly scooped the US MTV Awards taking out 'Best Pop Video' and 'Best Female Video' and closing the show with a blistering performance (complete with massive floor-to-ceiling water canons!) of 'Since U Been Gone'.

Joining Kelly on her dates will be local electro rock Voodoo Children Rogue Traders, who are currently tearing it up with their hot new single 'Way To Go!', and have just scored a swag of ARIA nominations.

Tickets to Kelly Clarkson's shows go on sale Wednesday September 28 - get in quick because these tickets will go like hotcakes!
