Elton John Breaks Grateful Dead Performance Record At Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK (AP) - Elton John broke the record for the most shows ever performed by a single artist or group at New York's Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (November 28). The concert, which was his second show at MSG this week, also was his 53rd show at world-famous Manhattan arena. Prior to John, the Grateful Dead held the record for the most performances at MSG with 52, the last of which took place in 1994. A large photo of John detailing the milestone will be put on display in the mall just outside Madison Square Garden.

In other John news, *NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake and Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman) will appear in the music video for John's next single, "This Train Don't Stop There Any More." Timberlake plays John as a teen and Reubens portrays John's manager in the clip, which was shot in Los Angeles last week.
