LOS ANGELES (Audio Adrenaline Official Website) - The band's current release was named Best Rock Gospel Album at the 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards held Feb. 8, 2006, in Los Angeles.
Congratulations to Audio Adrenaline! The band's current release, UNTIL MY HEART CAVES IN, was named Best Rock Gospel Album at the 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards held Feb. 8, 2006, in Los Angeles.
'Thank you very much,' said lead singer Mark Stuart, accepting the award. 'We are blown away by God's faithfulness.'
Audio Adrenaline has received six consecutive nominations in the Best Rock Gospel Album category, and UNTIL MY HEART CAVES IN marks the band's second GRAMMY win. The quartet also won the honor in 2004 for its WORLDWIDE project.
This year's honor is especially poignant in light of Audio Adrenaline's recent announcement that it will retire at the end of 2006. The decision came after doctors said Stuart's signature rock voice-after 15 years of constant use-would no longer be able to sustain a regular tour and recording schedule. Plans are underway for a series of farewell concerts and a retrospective CD/DVD entitled ADIOS that will also include new material.
