TORONTO, Ca. (Brownman.com) - Pulsating rhythms of Cuban funk with elements of Brazilian jazz is presented at a free concert at Harbourfront Centre.
In a performance that is sure to be charged with explosive Latin vibes, award-winning Nick Ali & CRUZAO will delight fans with original compositions on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in a performance to be held in the picturesque Lakeside Terrace.
The concert will be recorded by CBC Radio One's Bandwidth for later broadcast.

Winners of the coveted Grand Prix de Jazz General Motors 2001 award, Nick "The Brownman" Ali and his quintet CRUZAO are dedicated to the amalgamation of traditional South American rhythms and modern funk grooves. After studying with the likes of recording legend Randy Brecker and samba master Claudio Roditi, Ali emerged as one of the most in-demand studio musicians.

His ground-breaking approach to Latin jazz combined with the talents of brother Marcus Ali and other band members Paco Luviano, Luisito Orbegoso and Chendy Leon give CRUZAO its original and sumptuous sound. With their upcoming Justin Time Records CD set to release in June, Nick Ali & CRUZAO are sure to heat up the lakefront.
