Sydney, AU (EMI MUSIC AUSTRALIA) - The Living End has signed on with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and manager Pat Magnarella's Adeline Records in the US and will release their new record, State Of Emergency on July 11th (18th in Canada) through East West. The band will back up the USA/Canada release with four weeks of shows on the Warped Tour in July followed by their own US headlining tour in August.

The deal was secured after the band's recent LA showcase gig having landed in the USA with the news of a number one debut in Australia for their new album State Of Emergency'.
Of the USA deal with Adeline Records, Chris Cheney - guitarist from The Living End, said today,

'We're very pleased to have signed to Adeline Records. We feel that they respect and understand the music and the vision of what The Living End are about. We want to take State of Emergency to the rest of the world and we look forward to a long and successful relationship with Adeline/East West.' - Chris Cheney
The band also struck up a deal with JVC Victor for Japan/South-East Asia recently, where the album is set for a June 21 release.

Over their stellar career, The Living End has racked up a quintuple-platinum album, two platinum and five gold records, they've won three ARIA awards, countless other accolades, and gathered fans all over the world. What's more important, while some bands seem old and outdated only two or three years after they start, The Living End lads are every bit as exciting a prospect as they were way back when - if you need any convincing, just check out a show on their forthcoming tour...
