Nashville, TN (International Entertainment Buyer's Association (ieba)) - The International Entertainment Buyer's Association (ieba) has announced a special presentation for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band honoring their 40th anniversary in the business to be held at this year's conference. The ceremony will be held on Monday, October 16th at 9:45 AM in the Hilton Ballroom at the Hilton Suites in Nashville, TN and will include a special performance by the group doing a medley of their biggest hits.

'iebaLIVE wanted to not only acknowledge but honor the groups place in music history with its continuing ability to bridge the gap between contemporary and traditional music,' says ieba Executive Director Patti Burgart.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band started as a roots American band and evolved into what was a new form of popular music, country rock. Throughout its career the Nitty Gritty Dirt band has placed 21 albums on billboards album charts.

During the 80's Nitty Gritty Dirt Band put song after song on Country Radio and they are still going strong celebrating 40 years in the business.
