LOS ANGELES (Amerie Fans Website) - With her new album 'Because I Love It' set for release early 2007, one thing is for sure: R&B diva Amerie is back and ready to 'Take Control' with her scorcher of a first single. Once again channelling the sexy and the sweet, Amerie slaps on the groove with a snazzy big jazz sound all cut with Tom Ze guitars and Hall & Oates vocal samples. Winner. Check it out at her Myspace page now. Some songs come along with "Big Fat Hit" stamped all over it and Amerie's new single 'Take Control' is a nice little example.

Taken from her highly-anticipated forthcoming album 'Because I Love It' (album number three for the 26 year old superstar), it's a hand-clapping, rhythm-juicy tune that's set to command control of dance floors all over the country.

Featuring a feverishly catchy sample guitar loop from Tom Ze's 'Jimmy Renda-Se', and vocals from Hall & Oates' 1980 classic 'You Make My Dreams', you can now take a listen to this super fresh track right now on her Myspace page, along with another newie 'That's What U R' - will it be featured on the new album? Stay tuned to find out.

Singer, songwriter and producer Amerie exploded on the charts in 2002 with her excellent debut album 'All I Have' and has since gone on to have a Gold-selling album, two major US tours, a leading role in a major motion picture and a smash follow up album 'Touch' which featured a load of beat makers including Dre and Vidal, Lil' Jon, Bink!, Nas, and Eve, in a collection The New York Times has heralded as "...one of the year's most anticipated R&B albums."
