Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - NZ singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser has returned in amazing form with her second studio album 'Albertine' and has proved she's got the goods to last the distance, with the album debuting at No 1 on the NZ charts this week while first single 'Deciphering Me' remains No 1 on the radio airplay chart. Meanwhile, Oz fans have embraced the chance to buy the album digitally ahead of it's early 2007 release - it's been in the Oz iTunes Top 10 Albums chart for the last week! She's one of New Zealand's most popular and biggest selling female pop artists of all-time and for good reason! Award-winning singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser has made an incredible comeback with her remarkable second studio album 'Albertine' and not surprisingly, sailed straight into the top of the NZ album charts, debuting at No 1 this week.

This makes for the second No 1 album debut for Brooke, who entered the charts in the top spot back in 2003 with her NZ seven times Platinum debut 'What To Do With Daylight'.

Testament to the quality and popularity of the album's material, lead single 'Deciphering Me' is also proving to be a force to be reckoned with, holding tight to it's ranking at No 1 on the NZ radio airplay chart as well.

While Aussies will have to wait until early 2007 to get their hands on the 'Albertine' CD, Brooke's dedicated league of fans here have embraced the chance to buy the album digitally ahead of it's physical release next year - 'Albertine' has been consistently in the top spots of the Australian iTunes daily Top 10 Albums Chart for the last week!

Recorded at Los Angeles' Track Record studio this year with producer Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard), engineer Joe Zook (Modest Mouse, Rufus Wainwright, Pink) and a cast of some of the world's coolest musicians, 'Albertine' is the sound of Brooke having toured the world over the last few years with her songs, playing shows as far afield as Japan, the USA and UK as well as her newly adopted home of Australia, where she relocated in 2004.
Expect to hear more news about the local release of 'Albertine' coming soon.
