NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Virgin Records) - With the February 20th release date of his bracingly eclectic album ATLANTIS – Hymns for Disco approaching, the unique Toronto-based, Trinidad-born Virgin Records alternative artist k-os is on course for a multi-tiered breakthrough.

On the night of his album release, k-os will perform on The Late Show with David Letterman, just as he kicks off a coast-to-coast U.S. tour, sharing the stage with Gym Class Heroes, RX Bandits, and P.O.S. (Dates through early April 2006 are listed below.)

Over the course of the February, k-os will figure prominently in VH-1 Soul's celebration of Black History Month, with the February 19th world premiere of the album's multi-format lead-off video, the uplifting and irresistibly melodic "Sunday Morning." k-os will join a host of progressive voices from around the world as a featured artist in the cable channel's weekly music video program "One Planet. One Soul," alongside Joss Stone, Corinne Bailey Rae, Akon, Floetry, Ayo and others.

Shortly thereafter, k-os will join the Vans Warped Tour '07 this summer. "I think k-os is the perfect artist to appeal to anyone that is open-minded about music," comments Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman. "I could see him playing with anyone from Rancid to Talib Kweli - and winning over their fans."

"Sunday Morning" was already greeted with immediate airplay in diverse Top 40, Modern Rock and Hot AC formats at its Canadian release, late last year. Also on ATLANTIS – Hymns for Disco, Sam Roberts and Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene) make an appearance on the lush "Valhalla," while indie-rappers Buck 65 and Kamau help close the album with the stirring "Ballad of Noah."

Addressing the unbounded musical and spiritual breadth of the album, k-os said: "When an artist expresses their truth honestly and with a pure heart, they can end up speaking for a myriad of people. From a very specific experience can come a general understanding and healing."
