 NEW CANNAN, Conn. (Billy Joel Fans Website) - Singer Billy Joel checked out of the Silver Hill Hospital substance abuse and psychiatric center in New Canaan, Conn., on Wednesday (June 26). The 53-year-old singer checked in on June 14 to "deal with a specific and personal problem that had recently developed," according to his spokesperson at the time. The exact nature of his problem is not known. Joel's next leg of his Face to Face Tour with Elton John had been rescheduled to begin Sept. 13 in Florida and run through Oct. 13 in New York.
