LOS ANGELES (Variety) - HBO has picked up the critically acclaimed live music show "Reverb" for a fourth season in primetime, beginning Aug. 8. Sixteen episodes of the hour-long show, which showcases live performances by established and developing rock bands, will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Among performances already recorded are Oasis and the Black Crowes at Los Angeles' Greek Theater, Guided By Voices and Creeper Lagoon at Philadelphia's Trocadero, and Coldplay with Grandaddy at Philly's Electric Factory. On the slate for the fall are shows by skate-punk vets Pennywise and Bouncing Souls, as well as eclectic alt-country quartet Old 97s. In past seasons, "Reverb" has showcased the Beastie Boys, Hole, Pavement, Rage Against The Machine and Foo Fighters, among others.
