Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - After having won the 2007 ARIA Award as Australia's "Best Female" last week along with her highly acclaimed album "On A Clear Night" being certified triple platinum (sales exceed over 210,000 copies), Missy's album bulleted to No 12 on the national Motorola ARIA Chart this week. Not a bad effort considering Missy had only been back in the country for less than a week after having toured over in the U.S. for the last few months.
"On A Clear Night" has already yielded the No 1 single "Steer" as well as the top 10 hit "Where I Stood" and now Missy takes to the airwaves again with her third single "Peachy". The single is already all over the radio and TV even including a surprise train performance cameo in ABC-TV's "The Chaser" this week. The new track features 4 exclusive b-sides via iTunes Australia including a live recording of "Don't Ever" and "100 Round The Bends" and will be released digitally on Saturday November 10. The single launch will also include a special performance on ROVE Live on Sunday November 11.
To coincide with Missy's imminent "For One Night Only" concert tour, the album has just been released as a special tour edition which includes a bonus DVD featuring "The Making Of On A Clear Night" documentary plus all the music video clips from this album including a never-seen-before Director's Cut of "Steer". The tour commences next week in North Queensland with special guest Tim Rogers and winds its way around Australia over the rest of November and early December. Some shows have already sold out. All remaining dates are selling fast in the wake of Missy's memorable ARIA Awards. Check out the tour section for all Missy's live dates.
