(Top40 Charts/ Black River Music Group) - Powered by a tide of viewer requests, Jeff Bates' new music video, 'Don't Hate Me For Loving You,' surges from No. 13 to No. 6 this week on GAC's Top 20 chart. The video is a companion piece to Bates' first single from his self-titled debut album for Black River Music Group.

Bates' new self-titled album returns him to the spotlight he earlier occupied with such hits as 'The Love Song,' 'Rainbow Man,' 'One Second Chance,' 'I Wanna Make You Cry' and 'Long Slow Kisses.'

Last week, Bates delighted fans with a performance at the Wal-Mart superstore in Cookeville, TN, after which he chatted with his well-wishers, posed for photos and signed autographs. Next Wal-Mart in-stores are scheduled for: Athens, GA (May 19), Cartersville, GA (May 20) and Griffin, GA (May 21.)
