NEW YORK (Avril Lavigne Fans Website) - She wasn't alive when Dylan did it, she was only seven when Guns 'N Roses did it, but that hasn't stopped Avril Lavigne from pulling out a classic. Avril has recorded a cover version of Dylan's "Knocking On Heaven's Door" for a War Child Canada benefit CD called "Peace Songs", being released on April 14.

Also on the CD of predominantly covers will be Our Lady Peace, Gord Downie, K-OS, Moby, David Bowie and Celine Dion. War Child UK also has a CD in the works called "Hope" with songs from Bassment Jaxx, Travis and Ms. Dynamite among others.

Avril is all set to perform at this year's Juno Awards (Canada) alongside Our Lady Peace, Remy Shand, Sam Roberts and Swollen Members. Newly announced presenters include K-OS, Nickelback, Theory Of A Deadman and Chantel Kreviazuk.
