New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Big Cat Records) - Big Cat Records demonstrates its evolution in the music industry with the announcement of its distribution deal with Urban/Pop phenomenon Pretty Ricky. The group's own label; Blue Star Records will drop their blazing new self-titled album; Pretty Ricky online and in stores everywhere on November 17th, the LP's hot new single, "Tipsy in Dis Club" is rising on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and already has fans on tilt.

The Miami group has achieved notable success from their first album, "BLUESTARS," and second LP, "LATE NIGHT SPECIAL". Pretty Ricky won four American Music Awards and in 2004, their single "Grind On Me" landed them a deal with Atlantic Records and gained international exposure.

Atlanta based Big Cat Records enjoyed noted success in the hip hop arena with top selling albums including; Gucci Mane's Trap House, Hard To Kill, Trap-A-Thon and Murder Was the Case. The label's roster has included; Khia, Freeky Zekey (Dipset South), Rasheeda and Yung Ralph.

The Big Cat/Tommy Boy distribution deal for the highly anticipated Pretty Ricky CD, featuring members; Diamond "Baby Blue" Smith, Spectacular Smith, Corey "Slick 'em" Mathis and Lingerie will mark a milestone as Big Cat Record's first R&B/Pop project.

"Making the transition to R&B, and expanding to distribution were calculated business moves, working with Pretty Ricky was a no-brainer! They are extremely talented with a loyal fan base." Explained Marlon Rowe, Big Cat Records CEO; of the decision to expand the label's interests.

Notorious for putting out hardcore southern rap music, Big Cat President Melvin "Mel Man" Breeden explains, "As a recording label, we are about the business of working with talented young artists in general." He continues, "While we have demonstrated our mastery in the rap game, we are radical in our thinking and determined to evolve as a multifunctional force in the music industry across the board."
