Natalie Cole, The Commodores, Player, British singing star Elaine Paige and friends join Grammy-nominee
Dennis Lambert Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. in a musical extravaganza to benefit DesertArc.
"This will be one of the most celebrated concerts in the Coachella Valley with such a large cast of terrific entertainers on one stage for one night to pay tribute to Dennis Lambert -The Man Behind the Music," said Bette King, who is producing the event.
The lineup of friends: Starship lead singer Mickey Thomas, Tavares, television-film star Connie Stevens and her daughters, actress-singers Joely Fisher and Tricia Fisher, singer-songwriter Siedah Garrett (wrote "Man in the Mirror" For Michael Jackson), Tom Laughlin And Delores Taylor of "Legend of Billy Jack" fame ("One-Tin Soldier"), and more entertainers to be added.

King, a long-time friend of Lambert, is producing the "Dennis Lambert - The Man Behind the Music" to raise money for DesertArc, formerly the Foundation for the Retarded, the Palm Desert-based organization that does so much to serve the Coachella Valley's developmentally disabled.
For three decades, Lambert has written chart-busting rock and pop hits such as "Ain't No Woman," "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Nightshift," "Pink Cadillac," "Baby Come Back," "We Built This City" and produced and written songs for America's most popular artists and groups like The Four Tops, Natalie Cole, Glen Campbell, The Commodores, Santana, The Righteous Brothers, among dozens of others.
Nominated for 12 Grammys, Lambert has also achieved 40 Gold and Platinum Record Awards, two American Music Awards for Record of the Year, one Academy of Country Music Award for Record of the Year. He has written 600 songs. Most recently, a full-length feature film "Of All The Things" chronicling his five-city tour of the Philippines performing to more than 20,000 fans has won "Best of" from several prestigious film festivals such as the Sarasota, Palm Beach and Nantucket.
