On March 23rd VP Records is introducing the world to singing sensation Romain Virgo! At age 17 Romain was the youngest person to ever win Jamaica's TV talent competition, Digicel Rising Star. 'Alton's Medley' was the first breakthrough hit in Jamaica for the young star. His debut music video 'This Love' has been added to VH1 and Music Choice video channels. 'Who Feels It Knows It' is his most current hit making waves. The debut album, with production by veteran producer Donovan Germain will be released worldwide May 23, 2010.

On March 30th VP Records showcases the early work of producer Lloyd 'Jammy' James. Jammy from the Roots features the young 'Prince Jammy' at King Tubby's studio in Waterhouse, Jamaica. On his return from a long stay in Canada, in this period Jammy established himself as a formidable producer and engineer among peers Scientist and Prince Phillip. Featured here is the best of his material working in the roots and early dancehall styles. Feature tracks include the much sought after 'Pablo in Moonlight City' (the only track Pablo recorded for Jammy), and 'Jah Ovah' which was recently revisited by Johnny Osbourne with U.K. artist Bitty Mclean on his album Movin' On. Other standouts include the monster hits 'Boom Shack A Lack' by Junior Reid, 'Mr. Landlord' by Half Pint and Junior Delgado's 'Love Tickles Like Magic'. This amazing compilation presents the roots of a pioneering Reggae producer. This album will also be available on Vinyl.
