Bloomington, Indiana (Top40 Charts/ Blue Cut Official Website) - It's all in the family when it comes to Blue Cut and their music. The father, daughter and son trio are an exceptional combination that produce consistently good traditional and modern folk recordings. Jacob Latham (vocals, mandolin, mandocello, and harp), Bethany Latham (vocals, bass guitar, upright bass, and guitar) and Michael Latham (vocals, guitar) are Blue Cut.

Blue Cut likes to explain their sound like this: 'If Old Crow Medicine Show and the Wailin' Jennys had children, well, we would want to adopt one, but that is the sound we have in mind. Folky; poppy; great vocals; unique harmonies; odd, but interesting lyrics; eye-popping mandolin solos; sweet nostalgia.'

The band accomplishes what they set out to do on their recent release We Walk In Temperatures. Their folksy Americana sound is original and as American as mom and apple pie, featuring strong harmonies and squeaky clean musicianship.

'There are enough bright spots on this album to dull the Aurora Borealis' - MuzikReviews.com

Blue Cut is a family band that will bring to mind other famous closely knit lineups such as the Palace Brothers, the Louvin Brothers, and the Osmonds. We Walk In Temperatures was recorded nearly in its entirety in the Latham's home studio in Bloomington, Indiana. The compelling recording features strong original songs by the trio alongside traditional ballads and one contemporary cover, which is a stunning take on Jennifer Sherrill's 'Blue Willow Plates'.

The eclectic trio offer up vocals from each member of the band throughout the recording which is then equally matched with stellar musicianship.

Tracks can be heard on the Blue Cut Myspace page and the CD purchased through CD Baby. Visit their website for news, performance dates and media.
