Nashville Is Rockin' This New Year's Eve

Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau) - This year more than ever Nashville is ready to ring in the New Year. Having weathered the damaging May flood, Music City is ready to put its party hat on to rock out the old year and welcome the new! Thousands of people are expected to take part in Nashville's biggest New Year's Eve party on downtown's Lower Broad. Music City's Bash on Broadway will feature a broad representation of musical acts and genres including Damien Horne, Heidi Newfield, Will Hoge and headliner Phil Vassar. The festivities will also include an exciting fireworks display and Guitar Drop sponsored by Hard Rock Cafe?. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve and is free and open to the public.

Just down the street the Nashville Symphony Orchestra will be celebrating, not only the New Year, but also the return to their home, the beautiful Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman will join Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero and the orchestra to celebrate the grand reopening. As the final downtown building to reopen after the flood, this is sure to be a special night for the whole city.
For all the sports lovers there's the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl where an SEC and an ACC school will go head to head on December 30th at LP Field. Head downtown the night before the game to enjoy an outdoor block party and concert featuring SEC & ACC bands and cheerleaders followed by a free concert by Little Texas.
