Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Webster PR) Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce the March 22, 2011 album release, LONESOME WHISTLE, byTHE ROYS. Lee and Elaine Roy co-produced the project with Andy Leftwich, and famed tastemaker, David McGee, features THE ROYS in this month's edition of TheBluegrassSpecial.com. McGee states, "The harmonies are captivating, the voices evocative (his reedy and a bit bluesy, hers bright with an appealing backwoods plaintiveness), the songs impressive and arresting, the playing impeccable."

LONESOME WHISTLE includes the talents of Lee Roy, Elaine Roy, Mark Fain, Justin Moses, Randy Kohrs, Cody Kilby, Steve Brewster and Andy Leftwich. The album will be available March 22nd at all fine music retail outlets and online retailers who carry Bluegrass music.

Stuart Cameron (Up Country Magazine) calls their music "a joy" and adds, "The Roys prove that they can bring traditional music into today's marketplace with ease. Family harmonies in music are unbeatable."

Radio is also welcoming THE ROYS with their first single release, "Coal Minin' Man," which makes its debut both on the Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 30 Hot Singles Chart at No 17, and impressively on the international HotdiscTop 40 Chart at No 1. Mike Thomas with KFAV Radio told The Roys, "You continue to blow me away with your talent. I just listened to 'Coal Minin' Man' and it's incredible." Dan Joseph, host of the Bluegrass Express on CKWR-FM, also has high praises saying, "'Coal Minin' Man' is a wonderful song that treats the occupation with the respect it deserves - a beautiful melody, beautiful instrumentation and beautiful harmonies. Simply the best!"

THE ROYS recently released a cool and hip EPK , directed and produced by Marcel, giving viewers a chance to get to know this popular duo and hear their music. Last year proved to be a monumental one for the pair as they made their national television debut on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in Las Vegas last September; traveled to Bogota, Columbia, South America for aCompassion International mission trip in August; signed with New Frontier Touring for booking services, and garnered their second win as the ICM'sInspirational Country Music Duo of the Year. They also performed during that organization's nationally-televised Awards show in October.
