Country Music Trio 'Stealing Angels' Raise Their Voices As National Ambassadors For American Humane Association
WASHINGTON (Top40 Charts/ American Humane Association) Stealing Angels, a country music trio with American folk-hero roots, are using their heavenly voices to help the voiceless and vulnerable as American Humane Association National Ambassadors. These talented young women will advocate, speak - and sing - on behalf of American Humane Association to advance its historic 134-year mission to create a more humane and compassionate world for children and animals.

With historic lineages themselves, the members of Stealing Angels are Jennifer Wayne, granddaughter of legendary actor John Wayne (who, coincidentally, also supported American Humane Association's efforts); Tayla Lynn, granddaughter of country-singing legend Loretta Lynn; and Caroline Cutbirth, a sixth-generation Texan who counts American frontiersman and folk hero Daniel Boone as a relative. In June, they took the stage at concerts in the Washington, D.C., metro area and Greensboro, N.C., raising their voices to raise awareness and support for American Humane Association's Red Star S.O.S. Tour - a multi-city effort to support heroic animal rescue and recovery efforts during this unprecedented "Season of Storms" (S.O.S.).

The Red Star S.O.S. tour brings communities lifesaving information from American Humane Association's famed Red Star Animal Emergency Services team. Red Star's 82-foot "Rescue Rig" truck, which deploys to disaster scenes, houses a crew of emergency workers, disaster supplies, rescue boats, and even a mobile veterinary clinic. Most recently, the team provided animal emergency relief for the Joplin, Mo., tornado and the Memphis, Tenn., flood.

"The stars of Stealing Angels are our newest heroes," said American Humane Association President and CEO Robin R. Ganzert, Ph.D. "Each of the singers is descended from one of America's bona fide folk heroes, and Caroline, Jennifer and Tayla are following in the footsteps of their illustrious forebears. By supporting our Red Star efforts, the stars of Stealing Angels have truly become guardian angels to thousands of desperate families and animals affected by the kinds of disasters we regularly see on the evening news. On behalf of the vulnerable and the voiceless who rely on our help, thank you, Angels, for lending your strength and your beautiful voices!"

Stealing Angels is on tour this summer with American Humane Association and has numerous engagements across the country, including concert dates where they are scheduled to open for Kid Rock, Trace Adkins, and Lady Antebellum. The group also traveled to Iraq on a 10-day tour to perform for the U.S. armed forces.
