David Benoit is the special guest artist in that very special holiday concert.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 24 at the Community Room at the Americana at Brand. Children 10-12 will be seen from 10am-1pm and teens from 13-17 will be auditioned from 1:30-4:30pm.

Those who would like to audition must be prepared to perform one of the following holiday classics - Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, or Silent Night. Rehearsal dates and times will be available at the auditions. There will be two rehearsals in October, two in November and two prior to the December performance. Those who are invited to join the Chorus must also be prepared to purchase two tickets at any price level to the December 9th performance.

The Glendale Pops Orchestra, in its debut season, has its third show, Bossa Nova on Brand, on September 22 at 8pm at the Americana at Brand FREE to the public. Season tickets or tickets to upcoming performances, featuring Kenny Loggins and Dave Koz in 2012 concerts, are available at the Alex Theatre box office, The Americana at Brand ticket outlet or by visiting the Glendale Pops Orchestra website. The Glenda Pops Orchestra and the Glendale Pops Youth Chorus are programs of Glendale Arts, a non-profit arts organization.

"We (the Glendale Arts Board of Directors) are doing something truly groundbreaking," stated, Barry McComb, Chief Executive Officer of Glendale Arts. "Glendale Pops is the product of a few dedicated community leaders who believe that Glendale deserves a vibrant pops music program and helped to make it a reality."
