Elvis Costello Delays Sept. 15-22 Tour Dates, New Tour Start Is Sept. 24

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) It is with regret and sorrow that Elvis Costello announces that he must delay the start of the next leg of "The Spectacular Spinning Songbook Tour" until the 24th of September in Atlanta. This is due to matters pertaining to the very serious illness of a close family member. All shows prior to the 24th will be postponed.

A spokesman for the tour stressed that Mr. Costello's wife and children were in excellent health but declined to elaborate further hoping that people would understand the desire and need for calm and privacy at this difficult time.

Ticket holders for the shows from September 15th through September 22nd should contact the venue box office or ticket broker for further details. It is hoped that all of these dates will be rescheduled as early as possible in 2012.

9/15 - Mobile, AL - Saenger Theatre
9/17 - Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall
9/18 - Hollywood, FL - Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
9/19 - Orlando, FL - Bob Carr Performing Arts Center
9/21 - Jacksonville, FL - Florida Theatre
9/22 - Durham, NC - Durham Performing Arts Center
