New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Demand for Bonnie Raitt's 2012 Tour is off the charts - in addition to sold out dates in Nashville; Rochester, NY; and Portland, ME; tickets for Raitt's NYC and
Chicago shows went so quickly that additional dates in each city were immediately added. Raitt is also nearing sellouts in Albany, NY; Meridian, MS; Toronto, ON; and Hampton Beach, NH.
Three more tour dates have been added to the first leg in Syracuse, NY; Reading, PA; and Montclair, NJ, and the first dates for the second leg of this year's tour have also just been announced, including August 26 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
Marc Cohn will join Raitt as the opening act for the first month of shows on the first leg, with Mavis Staples set to open the latter dates. Special benefit seating for all dates currently on sale is available at www.guacfund.org.
Raitt's album 'Slipstream' will be released April 10 on Redwing Records.
