Atlanta, GA (Top40 Charts/ EAS Records) Rodney Gardner of EAS Records announced the signing of a worldwide licensing agreement with Atlanta-based Urban/Hip Hop artist BIGG-CITTY, and the release of the artist's self-titled debut single, "BIGG-CITTY." The single was mixed and produced by Jason Kingsland of Glow In The Dark Records, who has worked with many renowned artists including Grammy winner Indie Arie and 11-time Grammy nominee
Musiq Soulchild, and was mastered by Glen Schick, who collaborated with
Ludacris and Justin Bieber. "BIGG-CITTY" is the first single from the artist's EP which is slated for release in the Fall of 2012. The track is now available through major online retailers including iTunes, Amazon.com, and eMusic.
BIGG-CITTY, a songwriter and composer, worked with various artists in the Atlanta area over the last ten years, before deciding to establish the EAS Records Label in 2011 and begin recording his own music. He said, "While my music is definitely Hip Hop, it has a purpose and it's always positive. My goal is to convey the message to today's youth that there is always hope, and you should never give up on your dreams. There's a lot of music out there that glorifies making money through by selling drugs or being affiliated with gangs, but that's not the only way and it's certainly not the best choice. People need to know that they always have a choice, and there's always someone out there who's willing to help them make it if they're willing to try."
"BIGG-CITTY" is a strong, inner city groove that delves into life on the street from a young person's perspective, addressing the choices that must be made for survival. The track is both lyrically and musically solid, with a nice, up tempo beat and strong bass and percussion backing BIGG-CITTY's positive spits. The song is perfect for the car or the club, and both young and old will find themselves on the dance floor with BIGG-CITTY.
