ABOUT K. SERRA: K. Serra is the pet project of Rachel
Sarah Thomas, a classically trained vocalist from the age of five, who studied vocal performance at the University of Michigan to become an opera singer. Her unique voice is unmistakable; often compared to Bj顤k,
Kate Bush and Mariah Carey. During her tenure at U of M, she sang on several electronic projects from fellow classmates and fell in love with the medium. She left the classical world and began to explore and it was during this time she developed her signature style: writing music with heavily processed acoustic sound, tape loops, non-traditional instruments, doumbek, vintage keyboards and her remarkable vocal capabilities.
