New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Workman Entertainment) The Royalty Network, one of the top independent publishing companies in the US, is pleased to announce the addition of hit Reggae songwriter and recording artist I-Octane and his Byiome Muir Music catalogue to their roster. I-Octane joins The Royalty Network's ever growing catalog of producers, songwriters and artists featuring hits from the likes of Beyonce, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Coldplay, Shaggy, Black Eyed Peas and Flo Rida.

"When I first heard I-Octane's voice, it hit me as the freshest sound to come out of Jamaica in at least five years," remarked Royalty Network and Krian Music Group President, Frank Liwall. "His transition from roots singer to DJ and back (sometimes within the same song), is just part of what makes him head and shoulders above his peers. We're certain his voice will resonate with tastemaker music supervisors, and can't wait to expose them to his material."

I-Octane recently released his debut album Crying to the Nation via VP Records and Scikron. The record reached the #1 spot on Reggae Vibes Top 50 Albums Chart and received wide press acclaim including the New York Times, USA Today and Billboard Magazine. Being one of the most-talked about artists emerging from Jamaica, I-Octane's first full-length LP has reinvigorated the feeling of roots and dancehall at its purest.

The Jamaican sensation has received numerous awards and nominations in recognition of his work including the previous hit single 'Stab Vampire.'

"It is a great accomplishment for the I to be working with Royalty Network," said I-Octane. "For them to even consider working with a young reggae star like myself and just the fact that I have the privilege to work with them knowing that they have also worked with mega super stars like Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Shaggy just to name a few, is really an honor. I look forward to continue working with them for many years to come."
