New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) "AMARYLLIS," the fourth studio album from Atlantic recording group Shinedown, has made a spectacular debut atop Billboard's "Rock Albums" chart, while simultaneously entering at #4 on the overall Billboard 200 with over 105,000 units sold. This marks the multi-platinum group's highest ever chart debut which also sees "AMARYLLIS" standing tall at #1 on the "Hard Rock Albums" chart as well as #3 on the "Digital Albums" chart.

The album's first single "Bully" continues to hold the #1 at Rock radio, marking Shinedown's 7th consecutive chart-topper at the format. Shinedown heralded the release of "AMARYLLIS" with an electrifying performance of "Bully," on the outdoor stage at ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! The official "Bully" video -- directed by Darren Doane, has received early adds at mtvU and Fuse's No. 1 Countdown.

A video for the album's upcoming second single, "Unity," premiered on AOL's Noisecreep. Both "Bully" and "Unity" are streaming at ShinedownTV, the band's YouTube channel (located at www.youtube.com/ShinedownTV).

To accompany and illuminate the new album, Shinedown has also released FOR YOUR SAKE: Inside the Making of Shinedown's Amaryllis, an unprecedented interactive Multi-Touch book created with Apple's iBooks Author that tells the official story of Shinedown's new album with never-before-seen photos, videos and much more. An immediate success, FOR YOUR SAKE topped the iBookstore's Arts and Entertainment section and ranking alongside several New York Times bestsellers overall its first week out. Designed especially for iPad, FOR YOUR SAKE: Inside the Making of Shinedown's Amaryllis is available for $5.99 on the iBookstore within the free iBooks app on iPad or at www.iTunes.com/iBookstore.

Shinedown is celebrating the phenomenal success of "AMARYLLIS" by headlining this year's Avalanche Tour. Presented by Zippo and produced by Synergy Global Entertainment, Inc., the trek continues through late April (see itinerary below). "AMARYLLIS" sees Shinedown joining forces once more with multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day), who previously collaborated with the band on the record-breaking "THE SOUND OF MADNESS." Recorded at Cavallo's Lightning Sound studios outside of Los Angeles and a pair of Hollywood landmarks, Ocean Way Recording and Capitol Studios, the album was recently named among "This Year's Best Bets" by Billboard, which noted the inventive addition of synths, a 27-piece orchestra, and a 10-piece horn section to the band's powerful hard rock.

"THE SOUND OF MADNESS" (2008) proved Shinedown's mainstream breakthrough, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart. The album made rock music history, with each of its six singles reaching #1 on the airplay rankings. Among them are such hits as "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)," "Devour," "Sound of Madness," "The Crow and The Butterfly," the gold certified "If You Only Knew," and the double-platinum certified crossover smash, "Second Chance" -- all of which rose to the top of the airplay charts, marking an astonishing streak of rock radio classics.

Shinedown supported "THE SOUND OF MADNESS" with a wide range of live TV appearances, including performances on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Today Show, CBS' The Early Show, and the 2010 NHL Awards show. In 2009, the band received an American Music Award nomination for "Best Alternative Rock Band." Shinedown's relentless touring schedule included the wildly popular "Carnival Of Madness" tour and the acoustic "Anything & Everything" tour, with performances from both runs captured for the RIAA gold certified, live cd/dvd collection "SOMEWHERE IN THE STRATOSPHERE," released in 2011.

Shinedown's unprecedented ascendancy over multi-format rock radio commenced with their RIAA platinum certified 2003 debut "LEAVE A WHISPER" and its gold certified 2005 follow-up, "US AND THEM." Together, both albums yielded seven consecutive top 5 radio hits, including "Fly From the Inside," "45," "Simple Man," "Burning Bright," "Heroes," "I Dare You," and of course, the #1 blockbuster, "Save Me," which dominated Active Rock radio for a remarkable 12 successive weeks.

Shinedown is: Brent Smith (vocals), Barry Kerch (drums), Zach Myers (guitars), and Eric Bass (bass).
