NAMM Asks Music Lovers Across North America to Simultaneously Play Music In Support Of Music Education On 'Music Monday' 2012
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ NAMM Official Website) On Monday, May 7, nearly 600,000 students across Canada and the United States will join together in song in a collaborative show of support for music education. For the sixth consecutive year, members of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) will partner with Canada's Coalition for Music Education in a simultaneous event to celebrate the proven social, wellness and academic benefits of playing music. Music Monday kicks off NAMM's National Wanna Play Week, offering a series of programs designed to engage the public in playing music.

NAMM's designated Music Monday song, "I Wanna Play!" by platinum recording artist Aaron Tippin and producer James Stroud serves as the day's soundtrack. Music Monday participants will be performing this song at the designated time of 10 a.m. PDT, 11 a.m. MDT, 12 p.m. CDT, 1 p.m. EDT, and 2 p.m. ADT.
