WHO: Spank Rock (DJ set)
Naeem Juwan, also known as Spank Rock, draws immediate influence from the Baltimore Bass movement. He met with the Diplo-helmed Hollertronix crew and began crafting the type of live performances that have become underground legend in the early 2000s. With production partner Alex "XXXChange" Epton, he released the seminal LP YoYoYoYoYo on UK label Big Dada in 2006. Since then Spank Rock has toured with notables from Beck to Bjork
to the Beastie Boys, made records with Santigold, Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson, and Mos Def, and remains one of the most enigmatic and electrifying performers in music today.
Katz (DJ set)
Ojay Morgan, a performance artist, created Zebra
Katz as part of a senior thesis project at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts in New York City. His debut release "Ima Read" featuring Njena Reddd Foxxx played as part of a Rick Owens fashion show in Paris in March.
Brooklyn-based IMPORT/EXPORT, aka Handshake, has developed wearable sound systems and homemade instruments over the last decade. As IMPORT/EXPORT, he has been hosting moustache parties and the comedy music podcast "The Flopcast" and has DJ'd alongside Michna, Sammy Bananas, Theophilus London, and Willy Joy.
