Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ 1888 Media) Singer/songwriter Cassidy, former lead singer and main songwriter of hit-making rockers Antigone Rising and now known as solo act Bohème, is gaining growing buzz on a new single, "Blind Spot," from her debut solo album, FOLLOW THE FREEDOM. Radio stations have jumped on the song, with impressive airplay in Baltimore, Norfolk, Tampa, St. Louis and growing. The companion video, directed by Dave Warshaue, who has worked with Fergie, Blink 182, and 2am Club, highlighting Cassidy's laid-back beauty, is also connecting with her growing fan base; the "Blind Spot" video has also been added to AOL Music's video page.

Cassidy, whom veteran Rolling Stone writer David Fricke calls "a vocal dynamo," has just completed a tour promoting FOLLOW THE FREEDOM, during which she played a series of sold-out shows. Still eager to reach out to her fans, she has just announced a West Coast residency at The Mint in Los Angeles, where she will perform with her band, and a few special guests, every Tuesday night during the month of June (tickets are available at https://themintla.com/artist.cfm?id=10223).

"It was super important this time around that I be 100% true to myself and make the music that was in my heart." -Cassidy

FOLLOW THE FREEDOM marks an extraordinary new chapter in Cassidy's already remarkable career. With its blue-eyed soul and pop-influenced sound, as well as its powerful sense of hope and optimism, the album marks a creative rebirth for the L.A.-based artist. Co-produced by Cassidy and longtime collaborator Don Boyette (a top session bassist for Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and Stevie Nicks), FOLLOW THE FREEDOM finds the multi-talented musician crafting a distinctive collection of songs rich with passion, brave emotion and uncommon style.

"Bohème's performance was really a pleasure," said veteran music critic and Housing Works Series producer Alan Light, of a recent NYC show. "Not only did Cassidy's voice sound as powerful as ever, but the band delivered the new songs with such confidence and flair."

Cassidy has toured/played shows with The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Dave Matthews, The Allman Brothers, Macy Gray, Raphael Saadiq, Charice, Norah and Rob Thomas, who called her "a born star." In the promotional period leading up to the album release, she made a series of noted television appearances including Fox's "Good Day New York," ABC News Now's "What's The Buzz," and Meredith's "The Better Show" on Better TV.
